Magufuli drops PS in the PM’s office Uledi Muss

President John Magufuli of Tanzania has sacked the Permanent Secretary in the office of the Prime Minster in charge of parliamentary affairs Mr Uledi Abbas Mussa.

A short statement sent from State House in the evening today said Mr Abbas was relieved of his duties effective today over handling of investment concerns.

“The move (to dismiss him) is to facilitate investigations against Mr Abbas following failure to follow required procedures in investment issues,” read the statement. It did not explain further what issue(s) had been taken or overlooked by the PS.

Mr Abbas was PS in the East African ministry before he was moved by the new President to the new docket under Kassim Majaliwa.
